Field Service Engineer, Mine Dewatering
Lihir Gold Limited is the owner and operator of one of the world s premier gold mines, located on a small tropical island in the north east of PNG. The mine has significant gold resources and ranks among the top gold producers globally.

Reporting to the Dewatering Coordinator, the successful person will be responsible for managing all operational and maintenance aspects of the Reda-Schlumberger and Centrilift-Baker Hughes Electric Submersible Pumps and Surface Equipment. An innovative and motivated team player is sought to maximise dewatering targets by liaising with hydro-geologists, mechanical engineers and tradespeople.

Key elements of the role include:
• The sizing, installation commissioning, and pulling of ESP s.
• Optimization of installed equipment.
• Supervision and training of the mechanical engineers, platform crew and electrical trades persons.
• Inventory control of consumables and capital equipment related to Reda-Schlumberger and Centrilift-Baker Hughes Electric Submersible Pumps and Surface Equipment.
• Ensuring workplace compliance with LGL s Lihirsafe Safety System, and maintenance Strategies.
• Developing and ensuring the continuous improvement of environmental best practice in line with LGL s Environment Management System.
• Contributing to and implementing continuous improvement in operation strategies, systems and practices that will result in the optimisation of equipment availability and reliability.
• Record keeping and reporting.

The successful candidate will have:
• A Minimum 5 years field service engineering experience with Reda-Schlumberger and/or Centrilift-Baker Hughes ESP s and Surface Equipment within the Mining or Oilfield industry.
• Possess a High Voltage electrical license.
• Plan pre-schedule preventative maintenance for surface and down-hole equipment.
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills with an aptitude to solve technical difficulties.
• Well developed interpersonal, written and oral skills in English.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the initiative and drive to effectively supervise an operation and maintenance environment.
• Possess Current Class 1 Drivers License
