Our client, an international mining, exploration and development company, currently has a vacancy for a Short Term Mine Planning Engineer. Based at our clients established Open Pit site in North Queensland this role will assist the technical services team in providing all mining engineering functions to the Mine Site.

Reporting to the Planning Superintendent specific tasks will include but will not be limited to:

• Creation and implementation of daily and fortnightly mine production schedules
• Recognizing and developing engineering techniques to assist in mine production optimization
• Ensuring all waste material is dumped in accordance with required guidelines
• Assisting in the development of graduate mining engineers

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Degree qualifications in Mining Engineers
• 3 + years post graduate experience
• Open Pit Mine Planning experience
• Well developed communication skills

Along with a competitive salary package including site allowances our client is able to offer you an attractive 8 and 6 FIFO roster in and out of Townsville. In addition to the Short Term Planning role, our client has a requirement for one Medium Term and one Long Term Planning Engineer with similar backgrounds.
