This is an excellent opportunity to join a greenfield site and help develop and establish mine planning systems from scratch and indirectly manage and mentor junior engineers.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical support as well as developing support systems which will enable pit optimisation, mine design and the creation of production schedules. Knowledge of Surpac, Datamine and Whittle software would be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role, you will be a tertiary qualified mine engineer with at least seven years experience. You will also have good interpersonal and analytical skills and be considered technically excellent. Previous experience in setting up systems from scratch will be highly regarded. The roster is not fixed and successful execution of this role will lead to a Mine Manager promotion so company preference is for residential or at least a view to.

A degree in mining engineering
