Our client, an Australian Gold Mining Company, currently has a vacancy for a Geotechnical Engineer at their established underground operation in Tasmania.

Reporting to the Geotechnical Geologist and working as part of the Technical Services team this position will play a key part in the development of the operation.

Specific tasks will include:

• Geotechnical mapping, core logging and associated data gathering
• Maintenance of ground control standards
• Assisting with ground control and reinforcement design
• Interpretation of geotechnical data

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Geology or Mining Engineering
• Strong interpersonal skills
• 2+ years postgraduate experience (including some underground time)
