Responsabilities:
Lead in framing COCPO’s strategic response to the evolving challenges in the mining and minerals sector and in meeting country demand for support on a broad range of mining issues and mining sector reforms;
Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and develop relationships at the highest level within industry and government and advance the Bank’s mining reform agenda with countries;
Qualifications:
Education:
A Master degree or higher in mining and/or mineral technologies or related areas such as mineral economics or finance;
Experience:
A minimum of eight years mining sector experience within an international setting with knowledge of mining in different regions of the world;
Languages:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of French or Spanish a plus;
Others:
Ability to mentor and develop less experienced staff including national staff.
